Canadian Hindu Advocacy and the Christian Heritage Party are to stage a picket outside the boards head office next week to ensure Muslim prayers in public schools is stopped immediately!

Valley Park Middle School has been used for 3 years to hold prayer meetings for Muslim children so they do not have to leave the school grounds to go to the particular service which is scheduled during public school hours. (Local imams are brought in to lead a 40-minute service with about 400 students in which the boys sit in front of girls in the lunch room. Girls who are said to be menstruating are told to sit at the very back.)

I remember saying the Lords Prayer and singing Oh Canada every morning as, I am sure many of you reading this can also. Then we were told we had to give up these practices to accommodate otherís coming here who donít believe in or like our culture values and beliefs.

The following statements are taken from the Toronto Sun post Mon. July 18.."Enough's enough, we draw the line here," said G.J. Rancourt of CHP London during a press conference on Monday at the Toronto Zionist Centre. "Our holiest celebration is Christmas and we can no longer celebrate it in public schools. We don't want to make people feel uncomfortable but we don't want you to forget who we are. Why would (Muslims) impose your values on the rest of us when we're accommodating?"

"There is a great deal of gender apartheid going on where the women are separated from the men," said Rob Banerjee of the Canadian Hindu Advocacy. "This is very much against Canadian values."

Meir Weinstein, of the Jewish Defence League Canada, is concerned children will be indoctrinated by radical or fundamental imams who are spreading their views."If these theories are taught in the public school system, it's going to lead to tension and violence," Weinstein said. "There's absolutely no question about it."

The men allege some imams who are leading the prayer sessions belong to a local mosque that signed a petition calling for leniency of the Toronto 18 terror group.

The protest is scheduled outside TDSB head office on July 25 at 5:30pm.

The International Campaign against Sharia Court in Canada right from the beginning announced that the move for interfering with state by the Islamists is a universal move and must be resisted by all defender of the human rights. Once more we need to defend secularism which is the total separation of religion from the state and education. We need to turn religion into a private matter of individuals where a personís religion does not enter the picture in defining their social and political identity.
